FutureRP
« on: December 12, 2006, 08:48:18 pm »
Hello everyone, I just thought i'd start making updates here,
now that I have some screenshots.
The tiles im using are borrowed, but I have some professional tiles being
drawn for me over the next few weeks:)

I am having trouble with smoothly ascending stairs in isometric,
I am having trouble with swapping clothing/weapons on 3d models.

If ANYONE has ANY information on this, I will quickly become your best friend.
My deadline for a public beta test, with these two issues fixed, is the 25th of this month:).

Wow! You did not post your yummy GUI tools screenshot on the Support section... Anyway, if I had things my way, I would have just did something like my project, which I posted the link onto your post at the Support section, I would have just have a 3D world since I feel that its much easier since collision detection and camera work is not at all bad... This was in response to your climbing stairs problem...

Yup, love it. Favourite game ever:)
My tiles will be quite different to it, but it was the ONLY game i could find
that used the same tile sizes as me, so I painstakingly borrowed some of them:).

Im just trying to get everything in order before my own tiles come back
from whereever they were sent to be drawn.

I had items working properly in 2D! but its just not as good as the 3d beast
I could have;)

It will run in an applet, and as a standalone client:)

That game is legendary!
I have been nagged recently to release it as open source so they can use it to make lba3 :o.

I must say, I was a very flattered,  if not, shocked;)
I speak of the magicball network not the makers of lba themselves, naturally

The last "test" of my confidence in Blender:)

Now I will work on my own storyboards, and my own ideas. The scenery will be more like BladeRunner, and the characters will be a mix between LBA, and Deus Ex Invisible War, with maybe, a little Crusader No Remorse here and there:),

Blender is the same as 3D Studio in terms of functionality. The biggest difference is that one of the two is cheaper. I have not tried Blender, but I am sure that the software can do everything that 3D Studio can; I still like 3D Studio though...

Hey nachi :).

Yes Blender is the same as 3d Studio, in all ways that count.
