Title: Chicken Charge
Post by: Virtex Apps on January 27, 2015, 06:59:45 am
Hi,

I used jPCT-AE to render the virtual world of Chicken Charge.  jPCT-AE was excellent to work with, and I would highly recommend it to anyone needing a 3D game engine for Android.

Chicken Charge is an active virtual reality game that merges the real world with a virtual world in a unique way.  You begin by setting up the virtual world within a real world open space such as a large room, yard, or tennis/basketball court.  Then the virtual world surrounds you, and you move in the virtual world by walking in the real world.

Walk around to catch chickens and return to their coop, but watch out for rampaging buffalo, giant robots, and pianos that fall from the sky!  You can even take photos that combine the real and virtual worlds.

The game is available now on Google Play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chickencharge

Or check out the trailer at:

Thanks again for creating a great game engine,

I tried to play it in my living room, but it was a little small for that... ;) It looks pretty funny with the cars and the robots and such. Great work!

I'll add it to the projects page if you don't mind.

Yes, I'd be happy to be included on the projects page!  Thanks for trying the game.  If you don't have much space in which to play, you can switch to Stationary mode on the Settings page.  In this mode, you move around using a virtual joystick, so you won't need to walk around.

Thanks again!
Jeff

I've finally managed to add it to the projects page!
