Title: [ resolved ] how to export animated Model from 3ds Max + ogreMax
Post by: cefengxu on November 10, 2015, 10:12:58 am
Hi, raft:

Thanks for your help ~
now i need to deal with the pipeline about model making~ according to the reference links , i have done :
1- download ogreMax and install base on 3ds-Max-2013;
2- download the model including :
      ninja.3ds
     ninja.b3d
     ninja.cfx
     ninja.ms3d
     nskinbl.jpg

so , my question is , how to export it in Max ? do you have some  "tutorial of step by step" for this ?

thanks ~~

the file formats you listed are not 3dsMax's native formats, and some of them (3ds for example) does not contain animation. I dont know how to import others (if possible) if they have animations into 3dsMax.

OgreMax is for exporting animations from 3dsMax. you basicly prepare your model, prepare skeleton (rigged with Pyhsique or Skin modifier) or pose (with Morph targets if I remember correct) animations, select the objects and export them. I dont have any tutorial but it should be almost trivial, if not I believe you can find many documents on the internet for that.
