Will jpct-ae be open source?
« on: June 02, 2012, 04:19:06 pm »
Hi, I'm searching for some open source 3d engine on android for my little project.
I found jpct-ae as the best one. But it's not open source.
I used to modify a lot of open source projects into my own project. Will jpct-ae be open source in the future? ::)

No. There are no plans to open source it ATM. I'll open source it once i lose interest in it (unlikely) or can't maintain it anymore for whatever reason.

I see. Then can you make an3dbench or an3dbenchxl open source? The sample code is too simple to show all the usage of your engine.
I'll try to take advantage of your engine instead of trying to modify it.

The An3DBench(XL) sources as well as the Alien Runner sources are available.

Alien Runner: http://www.jpct.net/forum2/index.php?topic=1629.60 (keep in mind that it's tweaked to run on a G1...so it may not look very nice... ;))

An3DBench(XL): Try these http://jpct.de/download/src/An3DBenchXL.7z or maybe these http://jpct.de/download/src/Benchmark-AE.7z...i'm not sure which is which...
