Well in fact the 3d part is the main objective of the project but is not the most complicated part. Just a viewer for some architectural maps. The difficult part will be things like loading the prices of some construction materials to mysql using a excel page, making all the web system, the database and all that stuff.

BTW: a year ago I did a prototipe of this system, only the 3d part without all stuff, only the viewer but the customer didnt like it.

Many friends like it but the customer didnt becausse of the reality effect. We as programmers sometime think of functionality but architects doesnt care about the code, only about the results and they want renders like ones made on "3ds max" or "architectural". I tried to improve the textures and the ligths but I was told that they would really wanted to see the shadows of the light sources and the project couldnt be sold. Thats the reasson for me to bother a lot on the shadows.
