I think it is nice that we are a small community at this point.

The more people there are, the more people are complaining about something,
or asking the exact same questions:).

I have tried to fulfill my promises to contribute whenever possible, and so have quite a few others.

This project needs little or no help at this point though, because there are very few bugs:).

Necessity brings creation. Everything that is deemed important will be done eventually.

Feedback / Re: Testing for Microsoft JRE 1.1

I must admit, I don't feel any urge to keep my code compliant with the 1.1jvm anymore.

A tiny population of people now use the older browsers, and, being realistic, people who play
online games will have the tiny amount of knowledge required to download the proper SunVM.

Something simple might as well be 1.1 compliant, but, if your going for any amount of extravagance, I don't feel guilty by not limiting my code with a smaller set of features.

Projects / Re: Skeletal Animation Idea?

For me personally, the advantage is that I can use multiple models, giving them the same skeletal keyframes.

So, people can dynamically swap their character models without me having to animate mesh keyframes manually.

You have made some phenomenal progress lately!

I am not ready to continue on my own 3d project yet, but I am noting your
new features, and how much easier they will make things for me:)

I wonder how effective those projected textures are at "highlighting" a character, with a ring of light on the ground.
The other option is to use the plane, as described on another thread, but this looks so much more detailed.

Yeh, I suppose you're right.

It is still frustrating that they can do this.

Yeh, just change the name of it:P

There are plenty of space invaders and pacman clones around.

Support / Re: How to fit 3d object to the window automatically?
« on: May 25, 2007, 09:12:35 pm »
I suppose you could slowly zoom in,(while scanning the outer pixels of the viewport), and stop zooming as soon as you register a coloured pixel:)

Its the most interesting non-mathematical, weird workaround:)

It's real nice:)

I have had another try in linux, and its fine here too.

Well, unless you run it with Beryl, in windowed mode, where windows are just textured 3d surfaces. It goes ultra black then - but thats not your fault:P

Well done! It looks like a good idea:)

And, thanks for the image!
I was looking for something like WoW, but a bit more cartoony:)

I am a self taught:) I find it is easier to do it on your own terms.

I am 17, and had my first computer in 1997, so that would make me about 8 years old at the time.
I have experience in assembly language, and os development. I was part of a project with the aim of creating a 100% ASM Operating System.
I had to stop concentrating on this after my browser-based game, FutureRP, began getting a userbase.

I have made a 2d isometric mmorpg, which I modified to be iso/3d, then finally fully 3d a few months ago:).

The 3D mmorpg is not far from completion, but I have chosen to return to the browser based game to upgrade it. 3 more weeks, then I'm done (I hope:)).
