Title: Getting started!?
Post by: Walinger on January 07, 2013, 10:40:34 am
Well I have no idea what to do. How do i set up JCPT and what are the uses for bones, jbrush etc. Where can I learn to use them and if I get stuck where do I go? I already have eclipse as I have been modding minecraft, but in order to use jcpt do I need to learn Java or an entirely new language? And if anyone is willing, would they add me on skype, walinger1, and we could start a project together? (I'm not good at starting projects but I'm good in the middle like adding new items and code)

Yes, you need to learn Java.

Bones is for animation stuff.

Look at some of the example projects, like Hello World.

If you've no idea how to program in Java, i strongly suggest to put the Android device aside for now and learn Java for the desktop instead.
