Welcome to jPCT - a free 3D engine for Java
jPCT has been developed with 3D games in mind, but it's in no way limited to games. Here's a small overview of the larger projects using jPCT. For more projects and further information about a particular project, visit the forum's projects section.


Technopolies - a MMORPG

Technopolies is a "work in progress" of a MMORPG. It used to use the hardware accelerated AWTGLRenderer and Swing for the GUI, but has lately been refactored to use the OpenGL renderer for both instead. More on Technopolies can be found on the Technopolies homepage.


Aptal Karga - a 3D chat system

Aptal Karga is a "work in progress" of a 3D chat system. It uses the software renderer, the GUI is based on Swing. More on Aptal Karga can be found on www.aptalkarga.com.


jKilavuz: a guide in the polygon soup

jKilavuz is a sister project of Aptal Karga. It's a pathfinding system for Java. It uses jPCT's software mode in the demo but isn't bound to this engine. It has its own homepage at http://www.jkilavuz.com.


Bloodridge - a browser based RPG

Bloodridge is a "work in progress" of a browser based RPG. It uses the software renderer. More on Bloodridge can be found on the bloodridge homepage.


FutureRP - a MMORPG

FutureRP is a "work in progress" of a MMORPG. It started out as a tile based engine that was using the software renderer to render the characters only but evolved to full 3d using the OpenGL renderer lately. More on FutureRP can be found in the FutureRP forum.

Werdy World is a "work in progress" of a kids RPG. It uses the OpenGL renderer. More on Werdy World can be found in the project's thread. There's also a video of an early version.

This is a commercial applet to modify products before purchasing them. The applet uses the software renderer, the website is available in german and in english. Give it a try at fluidforms individual design.

This is a commercial application to design decks (not of cards but the ones with planks and stuff). It seems to be quite popular (judging from the number of clicks www.jpct.net is getting from it) and uses the software renderer in an applet. The application can be found at the Trex Deck Designer page.

This is an item viewer for World of Warcraft. It runs in an applet and uses the software renderer. It can be found on the german speedy dragon homepage or you can go directly to an example applet.

Tokima - a browser based puzzle game

Tokima has been around for quite a while now. It seemed to be dead for some time, but obviously it has shifted focus to another kind of gameplay now at is alive again. You may visit the tokima homepage.
