Projects / Re: 3D Sound System
« on: March 01, 2009, 04:51:52 am »
Hey I think this great work, finally been able to use your library.
I been testing quite a few sound libraries to play ogg for my 2d game and each one has its own problems or rarely gets updated.
Which I'm hoping you can fix the bugs I'm having with Sound System Small.
I am loading a ogg (music) which plays fine.
Then there's some clicking noises in the middle.
After the song finishes it will keep playing a soft sound, small part of my ogg.
It then sucks my ram up.
If I try to loop it, it wont loop.
Also seems I'm having trouble playing my ogg sounds...

Very nice start.
Is this map editor going to be free to use for everyone?
Because I sure would use it on my game, when I start working on it again.

News / Re: jPCT goes Android
« on: October 25, 2008, 07:54:55 am »
I been looking a lot into android to see where its heading. I might program a few things for it latter when I have the time.
I see that theres also many people with your problem EgoOlsen, of the emulator being too slow. Some are testing parts of there 3d programs in Java. I hope you do finish this off, but seems you might need the hardware to do it. I see a number of people already asking for a high level 3d library, so a lot people would really like this.

I see there was some work done with JME: http://www.renanse.com/blog/2007/12/early-android-results.html but since he no longer works on JME, that might of stopped.

Already 3d games are starting to show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEWYHpQWU5I , http://www.omnigsoft.com/Android/ADC/readme.html

I believe Egon has said that he would release the code if he was tired of maintaining it.
Egon make sure you have in your will that the source code gets released  ;)

Finally got the chance to start building maps, but currently having trouble using the XML file it creates.
How am I meant to set it up in my game to load this XML file correctly?

Thats cool. Maybe something I should look into the future of generating those kinds of maps.

Cool  8)
Now you can show it to people without them needing to play it first. Some people (like me) will only play a random game if has plenty of info on it (like a video).
You will also get traffic from youtube.

Could always release the source code? Would help others in doing such projects or even build on top of what you currently have.

I use avi screen classic which is free. It does the trick nicely. All screen recorders will use a bit of cpu, depending on encoder.

Seems he has stopped working on it. Which is a shame because I wanted to test it out.

Nice game, glad to see you finally got it finally out. I was just going to ask about the sources, wouldn't mind seeing how you did a few things  :)
